Installing Spectra Geospatial Installation Manager

To install or update the Origin software to your controller, you must use Spectra Geospatial Installation Manager:

  • If the controller is a Windows device, install or update Origin software using Spectra Geospatial Installation Manager for Windows.
  • If the controller is an Android device, install or update Origin software using Spectra Geospatial Installation Manager for Android.
  1. Go to the Software and utilities page and click the link to download Spectra Geospatial Installation Manager for Windows.
  2. Double-click the installation file to install it.

Spectra Geospatial Installation Manager for Android is usually preinstalled on Spectra Geospatial controllers running Android. If it is not already installed, follow the instructions below to install it.

  1. Go to the Software and utilities page and click the link to download Spectra Geospatial Installation Manager for Android.
  2. Tap the link to download the Spectra Geospatial Installation Manager for Android software.
  3. Locate the downloaded file on your device and tap it to run it.
  4. If a pop‑up message indicates that the device is set to block installation of apps obtained from unknown sources:
    1. Tap Settings in the pop‑up message.
    2. In the Settings screen, locate the Unknown sources item and set the control to on to allow installation of apps from sources other than the Play Store.
    3. Tap OK.

Spectra Geospatial Installation Manager operates as the license manager service for any software installed using Spectra Geospatial Installation Manager. If you uninstall Spectra Geospatial Installation Manager, installed software will not run.
