Excluded and included strings in LandXML string roads

The software automatically excludes some strings when the LandXML string road is used in Origin Roads.

Alternatively, the LandXML string road may include some strings that you want to exclude. For example, for some LandXML string roads the centerline alignment does not form part of the road surface and must be excluded, or some roads may include strings that go back on themselves. Sometimes these strings are unrelated to the road design (for example, a fence line), and should be excluded. In other situations the string may be valid (for example, a curb return), and should remain part of the road. However this will mean that staking the string will result in staked points that have duplicate station values.

You can include any previously excluded strings as needed.

Any changes made to the status of the strings in Origin Roads are written to the LandXML file.
