Cross section elevations
When redefining a LandXML cross section road as an RXL road, if the elevations defining the cross sections are:
- absolute, select the Absolute design cross‑section elevations check box to ensure the templates are resolved correctly.
- relative to the alignment, clear the Absolute design cross‑section elevations check box to ensure the templates are resolved correctly.

If you are unsure whether to select or clear the Absolute design cross‑section elevations check box, open the file in a text editor and review the values.

If you are still unsure, choose one setting and once the road is stored as an RXL file, tap Review and then tap
in the map toolbar to view the road in the cross section view. If the cross section view does not look correct, for example if the cross section appears as a single vertical line rather than a horizontal line with cut/fill values at the side, then redefine the road as a new RXL, this time with a different Absolute design cross‑section elevations setting.
